YSMU is very well maintained, and this ensures a pleasant student environment. The hostels are nice and well-equipped, and they feel like home to us. The facilities provided are great –Wi-Fi equipped reading/ study halls, event hall , canteen, laundry room, centrally heated rooms, running hot & cold water, sports ground and much more. We get complimentary breakfast at the hostel, which means that no one leaves with empty stomach (I find it very helpful). The bus stop is just few steps away from the hostel, which makes local transportation hassle free. Mini and micro buses operate at regular intervals and are extremely secure & comfortable. Cabs too are available and very affordable. A large supermarket which offers pretty much everything under one roof is at walking distance from the international hostel. All this saves a lot of time and allows us to concentrate on our studies. But I think the faculty is University’s greatest asset. We have a huge number of International students at YSMU and the camaraderie amongst students is great. University has been a fantastic experience and I have met many wonderful people and am learning new things every day.
