The overall experience is great! I’m currently in my sixth and final year and can definitely say I’ll miss it when I leave. The hostel is great because it has everything you need in one place. The staff is top of their field as are the facilities. They monitor progress of the students and seek to act in their interest to resolve problems which may arise during studies. Strict discipline is insured and 100% attendance is expected from all the students. So my advice to new students is to take classes very seriously and study regularly. I found that time management, organisation and self-motivation are particularly important. If you face any difficulty with the course, do not hesitate to ask for help. The teaching staff is very helpful .I cherish the bonds of friendship that I formed with students, the administrative staff, faculty and physicians. People are so warm, friendly and accommodating. While the program has been a great experience as far as exposure, lectures, curriculum, etc. I think I will remember YSMU because of the people. This has been an experience that I will always treasure.
