The Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU) of Armenia is a renowned medical educational institution, one of the best in Eastern Europe. It is a university with eighty years of tradition, being home of an acclaimed scientific-research center as well. The graduates of YSMU successfully work all over the world, including India.
YSMU has comprehensive cooperation with various medical institutions in Europe and the USA with the purpose of scientific innovation, interchange, realization of multiple programs, as well as the exchange of professors and students. The proper professional contacts are established with such reputable Indian organizations as Indian Council of Medical Research and All India Institute of Medical Sciences. I had the privilege of delivering a lecture at this prestigious University and was conferred the Honorary title of Doctor of Philosophy.
The scientific library of the University is extremely rich, providing proper services to over six thousand students and researchers. Recently the library's book-stock has been supplemented with a number of Indian medical literatures.
The Yerevan State Medical University is well known in India. The Medical Council of India gives proper recognition to its Degree of MD (Physician).
I would strongly recommend the prospective Indian students to study in Yerevan State Medical University, in the friendly country of Armenia. We like to see more and more skilled Indian physicians bringing their inputs to ensure 'Health for All' within the stipulated period.
